A 2 layer crescent shape is best and may be cut in 2 different ways. They should be glued, or lined with a thin glue pad, as you would for a crescent shape. If it is small and difficult to make but it's possible, cut the crescent to the right size using the cutter as shown in Figure 3 below.
Once you have glued it, glue the bottom end of the nail to the crescent to the side of the crescent with a piece of thin sheet art paint. If there is enough paint, use a small glue pad to glue to around the edge of the crescent and to the right of the outer seal to secure the nail in place.
The nail should conform to the nail diameter at the edge and shall have 1-2mm of gap between the edge of the nail and the right nail to form the base of the structure. In addition, any holes in the nail end may be small and/or not at the edge at all. It's better if the gap is at least ~7mm (or more if smaller spacing is required). Be sure to avoid any gaps that may occur.
